The 139th Anniversary of the Railroad to Tucson will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum in front of Engine 1673.
Tucson celebrates the arrival of the train into Tucson every March. Actual descendants of people who were at the 1880 event will be there to perform an entertaining and educational reenactment of that famous day. The Folklorico Children will perform, the 4th Cavalry Band, and much, much, more is planned for this year’s celebration. It all boils down to free fun for the whole family.
